Hello from the moderator! This is a new section. I noticed that so many Davies-Jacksons were doing so many cool things (unsurprisingly!) and decided to capture some highlights here. Get prepared for bite-sized nuggets of info and heaps of photos. Hope you enjoy!
To start, Mr. Brian Biggs has appeared yet again on the TV. As a PR agent, I feel like he should start giving me some tips! Click the picture to see him on BBC Business Edition.
Now we have previous scholar Nicholas Courtney in front of a very pointy building. Clearly John’s has rubbed off on him and he finds himself compelled towards castles.
What’s a group of Davies-Jackson scholars called? A gaggle? A flock? A pretty darn good time? Earlier this year, four scholars (past and present, including the very first, Kate O Suilleabhain) and a committee member met in London for tea.
Moving far, far outside of London is previous scholar Stephen Worden. Stephen is currently roaming Cambodia and Bangkok. His journey started in Hong Kong and it’s hard to say where he’ll go next.
Biking. Stephen biking around Cambodia.
Previous scholar Lindsay Brainard is back in London for the summer, taking a break from her studies in the States to teach heaps of young international students. Lindsay tucked her work away for a night at the St. John’s Ball. Nothing says fun like pretty drinks and prettier dresses.
Sometimes even your humble moderator pauses from work and London life to trek up to Cambridge. Here I am with Lindsay Brainard, dining in the ever-delicious John’s buttery.
Current scholar Deanie Vallone also enjoyed a night at the ball. Uncharacteristically warm weather and a lack of rain meant the night went off beautifully.
So there we go! Now read some of the other posts. They’ve got even more pretty pictures.
